BMC Loft Conversions delivers high-quality loft conversions, extensions, and building projects throughout Bournemouth and the surrounding Dorset area. With a strong focus on loft transformations, we have the skills, experience and reliability needed to turn your attic space into a practical and beautifully finished part of your home.
Dormer loft conversions remain one of the most popular choices for homeowners looking to add headroom and natural light. Our team specialises in crafting well-planned, stylish dormers that enhance everyday living and boost property value. Based near Bournemouth, BMC combines thoughtful design with expert workmanship to ensure a result that fits seamlessly into your home.
A Hip to Gable loft conversion is a clever solution for homeowners looking to maximise space by extending the sloping side of the roof to create a full-height wall. This approach opens up the loft, making room for spacious, functional interiors that suit everything from extra bedrooms to home offices. At BMC Loft Conversions, we bring precision and experience to every project in Bournemouth, carefully managing the entire build process from planning to completion. With a strong focus on craftsmanship and communication, we ensure your new space feels like a natural part of your home.
Velux loft conversions are ideal for Bournemouth homeowners who want to make the most of their loft without altering the roof structure. Our installations allow natural light to flood the space, creating a bright, functional room while keeping costs down. BMC ensures each Velux conversion is completed to the highest standard with minimal disruption.

BMC Loft Conversions have not only completed a lovely loft conversion for us but also redesigned our downstairs living area and kitchen including laminate flooring. We found Billy efficient and helpful and his team very professional. We are pleased to recommend them to anyone requiring building or Carpentry work.

A proactive team who were able to interpret the gaps in the design and produce a workable solution, which in our case, did throw up some challenges. All of which were overcome with ease. Great job team BMC. Thank you

Happy Client
When looking for a Builder to manage and complete our loft conversion Billy came out on top for his customer service and attention to detail before the work even began. The team worked quickly and efficiently with little to no mess (we expected a lot more disruption). However, I was able to work from home during the entire loft conversion! The team were happy to answer any questions from me / my wife. Billy was also flexible when minor changes were required to the plans / layout. All of the trades Billy used were polite and courteous in our home and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Really great experience with BMC. We spoke to them a year before we decided to go ahead with the loft conversion and there was no pressure. They gave us a really competitive quote and were really friendly throughout. Once build started they were really supportive and really listened to our needs throughout the build. All the contractors were really friendly and they did a great job. Kept in loop with all building control , which was signed off without issue. Our neighbours also had a conversion done with BMC and they had a really similar positive experience with them. Billy and Dan were always a phone call away to sort the little things out throughout the whole period. Any buidling work is stressful but BMC they really kept it calm and smooth throughout. Also, they were really happy to make changes as we were going through the project and all additional works were reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

BMC Projects recently completed some exceptional carpentry work for us, building a commercial plant room, and we couldn't be more impressed. The team demonstrated outstanding skill, precision, and professionalism from start to finish. They adhered to the timeline, maintained clear communication, and paid meticulous attention to every detail. The quality of their craftsmanship is truly top-notch, and the plant room exceeds all our expectations. We highly recommend BMC Projects for any carpentry needs. Five stars without a doubt!

We had our roof re-built (to gain extra ridge height) and a dormer added to create two bedrooms, a shower room and a small landing in the Autumn of 2023. We met with and received quotes from a number of local building companies, looking not just for a good price but also someone that we thought we would be able to work with constructively for the 2-3 months of the build. BMC provided both. Firstly, their price and programme was good, and they kept faithfully to each (allowing for a few upgrades and add-ons that we requested). Secondly, and at least equally importantly, they were friendly, professional, personable throughout, happy to give but not push advice, and happy to accept feedback and alterations. I will take the opportunity to thank again all the guys who worked carefully around us: Ash, Dylan, Jack, Dan, Reese, and also Kane, Henry, Cam and Taylor, as well as the numerous subcontractors who came in as needed. We are very, very happy with the result and will certainly be calling Billy if and when we have any future projects. We would not hesitate to recommend BMC to anyone who is planning a loft conversion or similar.

Stubbington hip to gable with dormer loft conversion.
Very happy with the service provided by Billy and his team at BMC. From the initial consultation, through design and build, he and his team have been excellent. Billy provided a competitive quote with a detailed breakdown of costs making adjustments and budgeting easy. The team on site were hardworking and polite and we are delighted with the end result. I would certainly recommend Billy and BMC to others. T

We hired Billy and his team for a double hip-to-gable and dormer loft conversion comprising a master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite bathroom. The end result is spectacular. A few niggles along the way, mainly around getting trades in on time in the latter part of the project and it took a bit longer than expected to get across the line. Those issues that did crop up during the build - as might be expected on a large project - were resolved swiftly by Billy. Overall, really pleased with the work done.

Amazing experience with BMC carrying out my loft conversion. What could have been very stressful went smoothly with very few snags. Those tiny snags (inevitable in any large project) were fixed quickly without fuss. Happy with the quality of the outcome. So happy we've requested addition home maintenance jobs with them. 100% recommend

BMC have recently completed a double dormer loft conversion on our property and have done an absolutely outstanding job. Bill and his team were top notch & on top of every aspect of the job from the first day all the way to the end. A very trustworthy firm with the flexibility to cater to our numerous changes during the build and, in our case, very mindful of the neighbours in our quiet cul-de-sac. Tme wise, everything was on schedule & even when we changed our plans half way through, this only added an extra few days. Bill was up front with all prices from the start and there were no hidden costs or extra payments needed. All in all I would very highly recomend BMC Loft Conversions & I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.
