When looking for a Builder to manage and complete our loft conversion Billy came out on top for his customer service and attention to detail before the work even began. The team worked quickly and efficiently with little to no mess (we expected a lot more disruption). However, I was able to work from home during the entire loft conversion! The team were happy to answer any questions from me / my wife. Billy was also flexible when minor changes were required to the plans / layout. All of the trades Billy used were polite and courteous in our home and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.
We had our roof re-built (to gain extra ridge height) and a dormer added to create two bedrooms, a shower room and a small landing in the Autumn of 2023. We met with and received quotes from a number of local building companies, looking not just for a good price but also someone that we thought we would be able to work with constructively for the 2-3 months of the build. BMC provided both. Firstly, their price and programme was good, and they kept faithfully to each (allowing for a few upgrades and add-ons that we requested). Secondly, and at least equally importantly, they were friendly, professional, personable throughout, happy to give but not push advice, and happy to accept feedback and alterations. I will take the opportunity to thank again all the guys who worked carefully around us: Ash, Dylan, Jack, Dan, Reese, and also Kane, Henry, Cam and Taylor, as well as the numerous subcontractors who came in as needed. We are very, very happy with the result and will certainly be calling Billy if and when we have any future projects. We would not hesitate to recommend BMC to anyone who is planning a loft conversion or similar.

We hired Billy and his team for a double hip-to-gable and dormer loft conversion comprising a master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite bathroom. The end result is spectacular. A few niggles along the way, mainly around getting trades in on time in the latter part of the project and it took a bit longer than expected to get across the line. Those issues that did crop up during the build - as might be expected on a large project - were resolved swiftly by Billy. Overall, really pleased with the work done.

BMC have recently completed a double dormer loft conversion on our property and have done an absolutely outstanding job. Bill and his team were top notch & on top of every aspect of the job from the first day all the way to the end. A very trustworthy firm with the flexibility to cater to our numerous changes during the build and, in our case, very mindful of the neighbours in our quiet cul-de-sac. Tme wise, everything was on schedule & even when we changed our plans half way through, this only added an extra few days. Bill was up front with all prices from the start and there were no hidden costs or extra payments needed. All in all I would very highly recomend BMC Loft Conversions & I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Billy has a sense of personal pride in his business. Therefore, and from our experience, the products that his business creates are high quality but also accurate in terms of timeline and budget. We were very fortunate with the team that Billy used for our project. Dan and Dillon were great - they were the lynchpin of the project and were on time every day, clean, polite, also very helpful and informative with the myriad of stupid questions I kept coming up with. There were other trades coming and going as required, but I liked that we had a central team to talk to. I should also mention Ash and Reese, who were onsite a lot, and Leah who keeps everything running in the background.
The budget was agreed before hand and there was no change to the cost that was not directly linked to a change in scope; normally us wanting to add something. The team (especially Dan) did a great job of discussing the design and layout and making recommendations. We modified the plan extensively from what the Architect had designed, and the team took this in their stride – just make sure you agree any changes before the fact… not just after they have built something!
It is also worth noting that any faults (for instance the electricians had been supplied faulty lights) have been rectified quickly, and with a smile. So, we can attest to the aftercare supplied.
We are super pleased that we found Billy and his team and would happily show off our new extension if you are considering something similar. We would also be happy to share our lessons learnt.
The work carried out was:
• Dorma conversion of a three-bed terraced house in central Southsea.
• Installation of a new ensuite bathroom.
• Modification of existing bathroom (converting into a shower room).
• Installation of three Velux windows – natural light throughout.
• Eaves storage and access – we still have a surprising amount of storage for Xmas decorations!
• Removal of chimney breast in first floor bedroom – may as well get the messy jobs done all at once.
• Installation of water softening system.
• New electrics and lighting etc.
• New stairs and banisters to match existing.
• New central heating linked to existing.
• Smoke alarms and fire doors as required by the planning office.
• Waste disposal, plastering, and making good.
• ALL WORK WAS INSPECTED AND SIGNED OFF BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
TLDR - We are very happy with the work Billy and his team have carried out on our home.
We would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Billy recently carried out a loft storage conversion for me. He was very helpful from initial coms to completion and provided a very fair quote. The 2 lads Jack and reece did a real quality job and kept me informed throughout. It was also very helpful having leah in the office as my emails were always dealt with in a timely manner. I had approached a few other firms before who had very poor communication. This put me off from the start and was one of the main reasons I chose bmc. I wouldn't hesitate recommending bmc to anyone looking to carry out a conversion.

Billy and the team did a great job despite some issues with the bad weather. Quote was presented in a timely manner and any amendments during the build were not an issue. Billy kept on top of the project throughout and made sure we are happy with the finished product at the end. Some delays were caused by the suppliers but all in all not a major issue considering the size of the project (2 bed and bathroom) loft conversion.
